Supermarket Insurance is moneysupermarket.com’s own insurance brand brought to you by Key Connect. Key Connect is part of the Health & Lambert Group, one of the largest insurance brokers in the United Kingdom. Among Supermarket Insurance’s products is home insurance (also known as ‘house insurance’ or ‘household insurance’).

Supermarket Insurance has a panel of insurance providers including Lloyds TSB insurance, Fortis, Canopius, Equity redstar and Prestige from which it obtains the cheapest quote for your needs.

The company offers both buildings insurance and contents insurance with cover against fire, lightning, explosions, storms, floods and earthquakes included as standard – as well as protection against riots or malicious acts. The Supermarket Insurance contents policy also incorporates £250 worth of garden contents cover and an increase in cover over Christmas, weddings and birthdays of 10% of the sum insured. There is also £1,000 cover for theft from outbuildings/garages.

Additionally, there are optional extras available with Supermarket Insurance’s home insurance products. These include up to £500 for thefts of belongings from a car and frozen food cover up to £300. With regards to personal finances, you can insure your credit card up to £500 and money up to £350.
