Sainsbury’s Bank Home Insurance
Updated: Every six months. Details correct at the time of publication - September, 2008.
Sainsbury‘s can now offer more than just your weekly grocery shopping. As an affiliate of the established supermarket giant, Sainsbury‘s Bank has been launched to provide numerous insurance lines under the respected Sainsbury‘s name.
Sainsbury‘s Bank presents a number of home insurance (also known as ‘house insurance’ or ‘household insurance’) policy options. It has different policies available for houses built before 1850, homes with up to eight bedrooms and buy-to-let properties. It offers both buildings insurance and contents insurance.
Among the benefits that Sainsbury‘s Bank is keen to emphasise is its unlimited buildings cover, as well as a no claims bonus that goes up to 40%. The company also offers new-for-old cover so that if any of your possessions are stolen it will replace them on a new-for-old basis. Its policy also includes alternative accommodation costs up to £20,000 to cover living costs while your insured property is undergoing repairs.
Additionally, with Sainsbury‘s Bank home insurance there are occasional special offers. Customers buying a new policy before October 6, 2008, for example, can receive a 25% discount plus a £20 Sainsbury‘s voucher to spend on shopping or fuel when they purchase combined buildings and contents cover. There are also no extra charges for paying by direct debit.
