Halifax is the bank that prides itself on providing 'a little extra help' and it has extended this policy to include home insurance (also known as 'house insurance' or 'household insurance') cover that offers a wide range of options.

Among the special offers it provides for its buildings home insurance and contents home insurance is a unique £50 Thank You offer. If you buy combined buildings and contents insurance, you'll get a £50 thank you when you join, as well as another £50 each year you renew and remain claim free. Halifax Home Insurance also offers a discount when you buy online, and you can pay monthly at no extra cost.

The Halifax contents insurance policy includes cover against loss or damage to visitors' belongings, as well as contents in the open such as garden equipment. There is also cover for accidental damage to TVs, audio equipment, computers and satellite receivers as standard.

The Halifax buildings insurance policy incorporates both cover for storm and flood damage, and cover against subsidence. The buildings sum insured is unlimited meaning you will never be under-insured if the worst happens.
