Birmingham Midshires Home Insurance

With roots dating back to 1849, Birmingham Midshires is one of the most respected building societies in the UK. It is actually an amalgamation of 50 building societies including Birmingham & Bridgwater and Midshires Building Societies. The company had previously extended its range of products under the BM Insurance brand to include home insurance (also known as ‘house insurance’ or ‘household insurance’).

However, Birmingham Midshires has now withdrawn from the home insurance market. The administration and service of home insurance accounts currently held with the company is now performed by Legal & General and existing customers should call 0870 900 5563 to make a claim on a buildings or contents policy.
