American Express buildings insurance includes loss or damage to buildings from fires, smoke, lightning, subsidence or flooding; architects’ and surveyors’ costs and legal fees; cost of site clearance to make the buildings safe in the event of damage; and extra protection is available for accidental damage.
Included within the American Express contents insurance policy is visitors’ personal effects up to £250; freezer contents for freezers up to 10 years old; £250 towards the costs of replacing door locks; and £250 towards the costs of replacement title deeds. American Express home insurance also has a number of optional extras such as cover for bicycles, specified articles inside and outside the home; and sports equipment.
