AA Home Insurance

The AA is established and respected for its breakdown assistance, dubbed the "fourth emergency service". However, the AA brand has now expanded to include a wide range of insurance options, including home insurance (also known as ‘house insurance’ or ‘household insurance’).

The AA is a home insurance broker that will search a panel of more than 10 leading insurers to find the best home insurance quotes available. It offers both buildings insurance and contents insurance and according to a survey of new business quotes, 10% of new customers could earn a discount of 30% if they buy online – this is applicable to the first year of the policy only.

AA contents insurance includes cover up to £40,000 (higher levels available on request), automatic new-for-old cover on most items, legal expenses cover up to £25,000 and accidental damage cover for home electrical and gas equipment and non-portable home entertainment.

The AA also offers a number of buildings insurance options including unlimited rebuilding costs (for homes with a market value up to £1 million), accidental damage covered as standard and a 24hr emergency helpline. As an additional bonus, AA home insurance will also cover up to £20,000 of accommodation costs for you and your pets if your home cannot be lived in following an event covered by your policy.
