How to cut the cost of car insurance

Car insurance costs are always fluctuating, and even if you’ve not been involved in an accident or made a claim during the last year, you could find that your price goes up at renewal. The good news is there are steps you can take to help keep these price rises to a minimum.

One of the best ways to cut costs is to be a careful driver and build up a healthy no claims bonus. Cutting down the number of miles you drive can also help - the less time you spend on the road, the less chance there is of you having an accident, and the cheaper your policy might be.

And always shop around at renewal – in some cases insurers reserve their best prices for new customers, not existing ones.
