Zurich takes its name from its Swiss home where it was founded in the late 19th century. Now however, it is one of the leading UK car insurance providers with its focus on customer relations and the individual needs of the consumer at the forefront of its car insurance (also known as ‘Zurich motor insurance’) policies.

Zurich car insurance has four main policies – third party, fire and theft, basic comprehensive, Zurich solutions (which is the basic comprehensive with extras) and Zurich Private Clients High Value Car Insurance for vehicles that are valued in excess of £75,000. All new customers are entitled to a 10 per cent discount if they take out Zurich car insurance online.

The basic comprehensive policy includes accidental damage cover and repairs carried out by the company’s network of repairers. There is motor legal protection up to £50,000 that is included as standard and your car’s audio equipment is covered up to £100.

If you opt for the Zurich car solutions package you will be eligible for a host of additional extras including a courtesy car when using one of Zurich’s approved repairers, 24hr roadside assistance and 60 days complimentary driving in the EU. There are also a number of additional cover features available such as a protected no-claims discount if you have four or more years’ no-claims, and enhanced breakdown service options.
