LV= is one of the ’s leading financial services companies with a broad range of products and services including car insurance (also known as ‘ LV = motor insurance’). LV= is also the ’s largest friendly society.

In 2004, independent research firm Defaqto found that LV = provided the ‘best overall comprehensive cover’ and in 2005 awarded the company a five-star rating. If you choose to take out a car insurance policy with LV= online then you will be eligible to a 10 per cent discount.

There are many other benefits available to LV= car insurance policyholders including up to 75 per cent no-claims discount if you have built up five years without making a claim. The company offers third party, third party fire and theft and comprehensive car insurance. If you take out a comprehensive policy you will be protected for up to £10,000 in the event of a personal accident and your personal belongings are insured up to £200.

Furthermore, the company offers cover for breakage to windscreen or window glass, up to £250 medical expenses and new car replacement if your car is less than 12 months old (subject to terms and conditions). You can also add up to 180 days cover for countries in the European Union and motor legal expenses cover up to £50,000. In addition, there is the option to protect your no-claims discount and add a temporary replacement car service.
