Debenhams Car Insurance

When you think of Debenhams, their high-street stores instantly spring to mind – indeed the company has approximately 126 stores across the UK and Ireland. However, in more recent times, and particularly through its website, Debenhams has expanded its range of products into the personal finance sector including car insurance (also known as ‘Debenhams motor insurance’).
The Debenhams car insurance website claims that you could save as much as £90 by moving to its service. This figure is based on a comparative survey of eight insurance providers in August 2005, in which it was found that Debenhams was cheaper in three out of four cases.
There are many benefits to a Debenhams car insurance policy. These include a free 60 day ‘green card’ for travelling within the European Union – meaning you are covered if you take your car overseas – and a courtesy car while yours is being repaired, subject to availability. Repairs are guaranteed for three years as long as they are carried out by an approved repairer, you can gain immediate cover as soon as you sign up and there is a 24hr helpline if you have any queries.
Furthermore, there are many optional extras that can be added on to a Debenhams car insurance policy for an additional cost. These are breakdown assistance, motor legal protection and payment protection which will cover you if you are unable to make payments in the event of an accident, sickness or unemployment.
