Design and display
The iPhone 13 Pro comes in a very similar design to previous iPhones. We’re talking a stainless steel and glass chassis, square edges, and a nice big screen with a small notch at the top for the camera.
It looks the same as a regular iPhone 13, but it has a slightly thicker, sturdier stainless steel body.
The display is a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED. It’s a little brighter than that on a standard iPhone 13, offering stunning colours and truer blacks. Plus, Ceramic Shield tech in the glass means it won’t smash in a hurry.
For budding paparazzi, the iPhone 13 Pro has a lot to offer. The main camera setup features three lenses (that’s one more than the regular iPhone 13), all 12MP:
- One f/1.5 wide lens
- One f/2.8 77mm telephoto lens
- One f/1.8 ultra wide lens
The improved wide and ultra wide lenses now take better photos in low light, and they support wide colour capture. The 77mm telephoto lens, meanwhile, has a 3x optical zoom – perfect for macro photography and videos.
Together, they make a powerful camera capable of a huge variety of gorgeous, professional-looking snaps. You get Smart HDR4, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, four new Photographic Styles, and so much more, including a new Cinematic Mode that easily shifts focus between subjects.
As for the selfie camera, you get a nifty 12MP f/2.2 wide lens. It’s capable of Night Mode, Smart HDR4, and shooting 4K video, just like the back cameras. And, of course, Face ID for security.
The iPhone 13 Pro is powered by a super efficient A15 bionic chip, backed up by a hexa-core CPU and a hefty 6GB of RAM.
Four storage options are available, from 128GB up to an incredible 1TB.
The battery capacity also comes with a serious improvement. It’s a 3125mAh affair, which, combined with the efficiency of the new processor, means up to 2.5 hours more battery life than the previous iPhone 12 Pro.
As for features, there’s a lot – not least of which are 5G connectivity, Face ID (though no fingerprint sensor this time), and IP68-rated water and dust resistance.
What’s the difference between the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max?
There are only two main differences between the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models:
- The screen is bigger on the Pro Max, at 6.7 inches
- The Pro Max has even longer battery life
Otherwise, the two have near enough identical innards and looks. But if you’ll benefit from more screen space and a phone that can last longer between charges, it’s worth springing for the Max.
Can I get the iPhone 13 Pro with no upfront cost?
Most likely, yes. iPhones with no upfront cost are available from lots of networks – though it depends what deals are available at any given time.
Find the deals with nothing to pay upfront available right now using our comparison tool. Just set the upfront cost filter to zero (or whatever maximum cost you’re willing to pay today).
Can I get the iPhone 13 Pro with unlimited data?
Yes, almost certainly. Networks that offer iPhone contracts with unlimited data include EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone.
You can see which deals are available with now using the comparison tool above. Set the data allowance filter to unlimited or high data, and choose the plan that suits you best.
What’s the cheapest way to get an iPhone 13 Pro?
The iPhone 13 Pro is a costlier version of a flagship iPhone, so it’s not likely to be cheap. But you can still find a bargain.
Use the comparison results on the deals table above, and sort by cost to see the cheapest deals at the top.
You may find the cheapest deals are those with lower monthly allowances, from smaller networks, from resellers, and/or on refurbished handsets.
The cheapest way to get an iPhone 13 Pro, of course, is to buy it outright and then choose a low-cost SIM-only deal to use with it.
Can I get the iPhone 13 Pro with poor credit?
It may be a challenge. Networks always run credit checks on phone contracts, and with the iPhone 13 Pro being a flagship handset, the bar may be high.
If you have a poor credit history, you may be more likely to be accepted onto a contract from a reseller or on a refurbished phone.
But the best way to get your hands on an iPhone 13 Pro with bad credit is to simply buy it outright and go for a SIM-only deal.
