Esther Shaw is a freelance journalist who has written for MoneySuperMarket on all things money from budgeting to mortgage interest rates.

She is an award-winning personal finance journalist, writing for national newspapers and magazines for nearly 20 years.

Esther says her aim is to make money easier to understand as she believes that knowledge is power when it comes to getting a grip on your finances and wants to help people from all walks of life feel empowered about money matters.

Esther's Experience

Esther has been a freelance writer for MoneySuperMarket since 2020. Prior to joining us, she built an extensive career writing on the subject of money, serving as the Editor of the Sunday Express and as Deputy Money Editor of the Independent and Independent on Sunday.

In her capacity as a freelance Money Expert, she has leveraged that experience to contribute to MoneySuperMarket's topical news section as well as authoring several comprehensive guides on mortgages and savings.
