O2 in 1985 became one of the original two mobile phone networks, along with Vodafone, and today is the commercial brand of Telefonica UK. O2 offers monthly mobile phone and SIM only contracts and has a customer base of 23 million customers.
According to Ofcom, O2 has the highest customer satisfaction for any mobile provider, an achievement it has attained for seven years in a row. After sales customer service is available during daylight hours, seven days a week.
O2 provides 2G, 3G and 4G internet access, with the latter requiring a 4G smartphone, 4G SIM card and 4G tariff. To help customers manage their internet/data usage, the My O2 app can be download for free.
