What’s included with Sky Ultrafast broadband?
Sky’s two Ultrafast broadband plans come with a free Sky Broadband Hub. It’s the same model you get with Sky’s Superfast broadband and has the very latest tech to keep you connected, including smart channel selection, four gigabit ethernet ports and eight antennae, and as many as 64 devices can be connected. This is a router built for the modern smart home.
Sky Ultrafast comes with Sky’s Wall to Wall Wi-Fi Guarantee and a speed guarantee which promises your money back. Pay a little extra for Sky Broadband Boost and you’ll also be able to get engineers to fix any issues in the evening or at weekends.
Sky Ultrafast broadband customers can also access Sky’s Broadband Buddy app. This allows parents to set screen limits and filter content seen on select devices.
Where is Sky Ultrafast available?
Sky Ultrafast is available in around a quarter of UK homes, although this number is growing all of the time as more fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) infrastructure is installed across the country. FTTP brings fibre directly into your home, bypassing the need for Openreach’s older copper wiring.
If you live in a rural area, you may want to look for a specialist, local provider for the fastest full fibre deals. Alternatively, you can might be able to access Sky Superfast, which completes the final stretch of the journey into the home from street cabinets using copper wires.

Sky Ultrafast packages come with pay-as-you-go calls included. However, because it uses FTTP you don’t need a phone line - calls are made over the internet, with your home phone plugged into the back of the router.
If you have poor mobile signal at home, it may be worth maintaining a standard phone line in order to make calls in emergencies.
