Greenbee is part of the John Lewis Partnership and offers a wide range of financial products from travel, phone and broadband to insurance. It believes in simplifying products while offering great value and applies this philosophy to its Greenbee life insurance (also known as ‘Greenbee life assurance’ or ‘Greenbee term assurance’) products.

With Greenbee life cover your family or loved ones will pick up a cash sum in the event of your death or on the diagnosis of a terminal illness. There are a number of cover options available so you can choose whether to pay off the mortgage on your home, meet other expenses or help to safeguard your family’s standard of living.

If you take out a Greenbee life insurance product the contract is actually between you and Friends Provident, the company that provides the insurance for Greenbee. Both single life and joint life policies are available to cover either you as an individual or you and a spouse or civil partner. Level cover ensures that the amount paid out remains the same for the length of the policy term, whereas with decreasing cover the amount decreases normally in line with the outstanding amount on your repayment mortgage.

You can also choose a waiver benefit which is an optional extra for an additional charge. It keeps your payments going if illness or an accident prevents you from working for more than six months.
