Scottish Provident has a strong reputation in the life insurance sector having scooped numerous industry awards. It offers a flexible range of products including Scottish Provident life insurance (also known as ‘Scottish Provident life assurance’ and ‘Scottish Provident term assurance’) and critical illness cover.

There are two versions of Scottish Provident life insurance to choose from – self-assurance and Pegasus, which is a whole of life plan. The self-assurance term product pays out a fixed sum with a range of benefits available including life cover, critical illness cover, disability benefit, unemployment cover and cover buyback which is further critical illness cover after an initial claim.

The Pegasus whole of life plan also pays out a cash lump sum and can incorporate both life cover and critical illness cover. Extra benefits include children’s critical illness benefit at no extra cost, free cover while your application is processed and retirement cover to be more relevant in your later years.

In addition, Scottish Provident offers a wealth preservation plan which could be used to pay off an inheritance tax bill by placing the plan in trust.
