Updated: Every six months. Details correct at the time of publication - October, 2008.
Royal Liver has a unique history having been formed in 1850 as a response to the hardship faced by many families in Liverpool. During the 20th Century it expanded to cover all of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Royal Liver now offers life insurance (also known as ‘Royal Liver term assurance’ and ‘Royal Liver life assurance’) through a number of independent financial advisers across the UK.
There are several cover options available including level term life cover with minimum premiums beginning at £7.50 a month. This policy pays out a lump sum on death or the diagnosis of a terminal illness for the person insured. Royal Liver also offers decreasing term life insurance with the sum assured decreasing depending on the assumed mortgage interest rate chosen at the outset.
Both Royal Liver level term cover and Royal Liver decreasing term life cover offer waiver of premium and unemployment cover as additional add-on options.
In addition, Royal Liver critical illness cover is available up to a maximum sum insured of £1million. There are a total of 40 conditions covered by the policy including total and permanent disability and terminal illness.
