Personal or motorbike specific cover?

There are two different options available when it comes to purchasing a motorcycle breakdown cover policy. The cheapest option is called vehicle breakdown cover, where the policy is centered on your motorbike. Onward travel is basically an agreement by the provider that they will pay the costs for any additional travel and/or accommodation which is required as a result of the breakdown occurring. In order to be eligible for this you must purchase a European motorcycle breakdown cover policy. This can be bought as an additional part of your full annual membership agreement, guaranteeing similar levels of protection to what you receive when in the UK. However, many providers will place limitations on the number of days you will be covered for while on the continent.
