*Average speeds are based on the download speeds of at least 50% of customers at peak time(8pm to 10pm). Speed can be affected by a range of technical and environmental factors. The speed you receive where you live may be lower than that listed above. You can check the estimated speed to your property prior to purchasing.

Why choose a TalkTalk broadband and phone package?

TalkTalk’s biggest selling point is price. Its broadband packages come in significantly cheaper than those with comparable speeds from the likes of BT, Sky and EE.

And they're broadly in line with other budget-friendly providers, such as Plusnet and NOW Broadband.

Speeds are good, too. And while they’re not exactly the UK’s fastest on its cheapest packages, they’re easy fast enough for most households. Especially its Fibre 35 and Fibre 65 packages.

And if you want something faster and you’re prepared to pay extra you can get a TalkTalk full fibre service, which could get an average speed of up to 1Gbps. Availability is restricted to a relatively limited range of locations right now, however.

As with all other household-name providers, all TalkTalk’s plans are ‘truly unlimited’.

That means you can use the internet as much as you like without risk of racking up any extra charges and your provider won’t slow deliberately down your service at peak times.

TalkTalk also stands out for its extensive, effective and highly rated parental controls, with its HomeSafe and Kids Safe security includes on all plans.

The cost of the landline is included in your monthly bill and the cheaper packages come with pay as you go calls. So you’ll only pay for the calls you make.

If you need to make landline calls regularly, you can get calling ‘add-ons for an extra monthly charge. These include ‘Anytime Calls’, which and low cost overseas calls with ‘International Calls’.

TalkTalks’s costlier Fibre 65, Fibre 150 and Fibre 250, however, include anytime calls for no extra outlay.

Finally, TalkTalk operates a Great Connection Guarantee. This means if you’re not happy with your connection quality and speeds, you can cancel within the first 30 days penalty-free.

Can I get TalkTalk broadband and phone deals in my area?

TalkTalk is very widely available. That’s because it uses the same nationwide Openreach network as BT, Sky, EE and most other providers.

But to make absolutely sure you can get TalkTalk where you live, just pop your postcode in our availability checker and we’ll give you a full picture of the speeds and providers on offer at your address.

What other broadband packages does TalkTalk offer?

As well as broadband and phone bundles, TalkTalk also offers a paid-for TV service. You can combine all three in a so-called ‘triple-play’ package.

Once you’re signed up, you get a YouView set top box and can then add Netflix, Prime Video, britbox and NOW TV passes.
