Can I cancel my Privilege insurance and switch providers?

Yes, you can cancel your Privilege home insurance at any time. However, you might be charged a cancellation fee if you're cancelling the middle of your policy term. Here are some instances where you may want to cancel:

  • If your policy is coming up for renewal: if you decide you don't want to continue your policy, contact Privilege and cancel before your renewal date and you won't pay extra charges

  • If you have just taken out a policy: all home insurance policies come with a 14 day cooling off period, so if you cancel or switch providers within this timeframe then you will not be charged

  • If your policy has auto-renewed at a higher rate: Privilege should inform you when your policy is coming up for renewal, but if your policy has auto-renewed at a rate you're comfortable paying, contact them as soon as possible and they might cancel your policy without charging an admin fee
