🚩 You will not get any money refunded if you have already made a claim on your home insurance
You’ll be able to cancel your Hastings home insurance policy within 14 days of renewing it or receiving your renewal schedule, whichever is later, without needing to give a reason. After this cooling off period, you may need to pay a cancellation fee of £35.
Likewise, the 14 day cooling off period also applies if you’ve just taken the policy out, so you’ll be able to cancel and get a refund. After the 14 days passes, you’ll need to pay the cancellation fee.
If your policy has auto-renewed, you will still have 14 days to cancel it and get a full refund.

Keep in mind that you won’t get a refund if you’ve made a claim on your policy or if one has been made against you.
