Which streaming services show F1 races? When's the next Formula One race? And how much will it cost me to watch the full race season or a one-off race? We answer your questions.
Key takeaways
- F1 is available to watch via Sky’s dedicated Sky F1 channel, which screens entire race weekends, including practice sessions, qualifying, sprint races and the main race on Sundays.
- F1 can also be watched on Channel 4, although it only screens highlights, except for the British Grand Prix, which takes place in July and is shown live, along with practice and qualifying. YouTube also shows highlights on the F1 Channel.
- You can buy a dedicated Sky F1 bolt-on or you can include Sky F1 in a bigger sports package. And can make extra savings by opting for a broadband and TV package which includes Sky F1.
Where can I watch F1 in 2025?
F1 has seen a huge surge in popularity in recent years, driven (pun intended) by the huge success of Netflix’s Drive to Survive and the emergence of drivers as major global superstars.
The 2025 season includes 24 races all around the globe and promises to be another intense one, with Max Verstappen eyeing another title and veteran Lewis Hamilton taking his seat at Ferrari.

What TV channels offer F1?
If you’re an F1 fanatic, then you’re going to have to take out a Sky package in order to watch every race.
Sky has a dedicated F1 channel which includes coverage of every race weekend, from Friday practice sessions right through qualifying on Saturday to the race on Sunday.
Sky offers a dedicated F1 package which costs £20 a month on a rolling 31 day deal on top of your existing Sky plan.
Alternatively you can pay £22 a month for 24 months for the full Sky Sports package, including access to the Premier League.
You may find that it’s more affordable to bundle your broadband and TV rather than paying for an add-on. Sky offers you the chance to take out fibre broadband, its sports and ultimate TV packages, plus Netflix and pay as you go calls via landline for £59 using its Sky Stream set top box.
You can choose to go with EE and take out its Big Sport package, along with its Fibre 2 broadband service, including landline calls, but this will cost £79.99 a month.
If you are an existing EE/BT customer, you can pay for a Big Sport package for £45 a month.
Alternatively you can take out a monthly NOW Sports package and stream Sky Sports for £34.99 a month. Or pick a day pass for £14.99 so you can watch the races you want to.
You can also watch F1 highlights and July’s British Grand Prix on Channel 4.
Which channels offer live F1 coverage?
Only Sky F1 offers live coverage of every race in the 2025 calendar.
However, you can watch the British Grand Prix weekend live on Channel 4. 2025’s race takes place on Sunday 6 July, with access to practice and qualifying on 4 and 5 July.
You can’t watch F1 on TNT Sports.
Remember that you need a TV licence in order to watch live sports. Read our guide on TV licencing to find out more.
What coverage do you get on the F1 TV channel?
If you’re a true F1 diehard, then you can also subscribe to F1 TV. This separate streaming service is home to tons of bonus content, including tons of pre and post race chat and analysis, highlights, documentaries and official F1 archive.
This means you can watch highlights of every season going right back to 1970, allowing you to see how cars, drivers and tracks have evolved as well as reliving classic races and rivalries.
During races you can follow live data including tyre usage, telemetry and live maps, bringing the race to life.
F1 TV costs £2.29 per month or £19.99 per year. You can stream it via Amazon’s Firestick and Fire TV range, Roku and Chromecast, as well as on iOS and Android.
It’s the perfect way to dual screen during a race, with data on your phone and the race live on your TV. Monthly subscriptions are rolling and can be cancelled at any time.
