The financial divide between men and women has been a hot topic for many years. In 2013 the economic gap between men and women is still apparent, but it is reducing in some areas, as our infographic shows. There are strong indications of the pay gap between men and women reducing, particularly during the financial downturn. Single women are also shown to be more likely to own their own property over single men. When it comes down to admitting financial difficulty, women are championing their sex with 87% going out less to save money compared with just 48% of men.
