When you use the Credit Monitor services you acknowledge and agree the following:
a. You are 18 years of age or older and live in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man;
b. You will be required to successfully pass TransUnion?s authentication process to access your credit score and, if you?re using the Credit Monitor App, your credit report information. Where you do not pass authentication, neither we nor TransUnion are required to notify you of the reasons why;
c. TransUnion has no control over information which comes from third party sources (e.g. the electoral roll, insurance companies or financial institutions) which may form part of the credit score or the content of the credit report. TransUnion, therefore, cannot guarantee the accuracy of the data coming from those sources and it is not responsible if it turns out to be inaccurate;
d. Any information provided to you as part of the TransUnion credit report and/or credit score is provided for guidance and information only. The fact that an individual has a good credit score does not mean that a lender, credit card company or other provider of financial services products will accept their application, and they have their own acceptance criteria. Also, a credit score does not take into consideration affordability issues which are also considered by financial services/credit providers;
e. You are requesting credit information for your own personal non-commercial use and not on behalf of anyone else. You cannot request credit information about any third party using the Credit Monitor Services;
f. You will not allow any other person to have access to or to use the Credit Monitor Services or information contained therein and that you will keep your username and password confidential;
g. You will contact us immediately (see the contact us section) if you believe a security issue has occurred;
h. We or TransUnion may suspend your access to the Credit Monitor Services or the TransUnion credit score and credit report if we consider:
- there is or is likely to be a breach of security;
- you are misusing the Credit Monitor Services and/or TransUnion credit score and/or credit report or using them in a way which is not permitted or is fraudulent;
- your use of the Credit Monitor Services and/or TransUnion credit score and/or credit report is detrimental to us and/or TransUnion;
i. All intellectual property rights in the TransUnion credit score and credit report are owned by TransUnion and/or its licensors;
j. Altering the security settings in respect of any Credit Monitor Services notifications may increase your risk of identity theft, fraud or other disclosure of your personal information.
k. To turn off communications from our Credit Monitor Services, please email firstname.lastname@example.org (as set out in the emails themselves). To unsubscribe in full from any Credit Monitor Services and to stop any processing of your data in order to provide these Services, please email email@example.com specifying that you do not wish any further processing of your data with respect to Credit Monitor Services to take place (simply deleting the Apps will not stop these emails or the relevant processing).
In the event of queries or concerns regarding the Credit Monitor Services please contact us (see the contact us section above). If we’re not able to resolve your query or concern we may refer it on to TransUnion. If you have any queries or concerns regarding the accuracy of your credit report or credit score please contact TransUnion at the email address firstname.lastname@example.org or by using the online process which can be accessed via the Credit Monitor App, which will raise a dispute with TransUnion.
