According to Ofgem, 1 April 2025

The energy price cap is the most that you can pay for energy with a standard variable tariff. It is set by energy regulator Ofgem every three months.

The cap is based on the yearly energy bill for households that have a dual fuel tariff and pay by direct debit.

Between 1 January and 31 March 2026 the energy price cap is £1,758. From 1 April to 30 June it is £1,641.
