Have been a customer for many years and they have never disappointed. Not always the cheapest but accuracy of billing and great customer service make up for this.

The person i spoke to to enquire about my meter reading, named Bea, was the most rude, bad mannered staff member i have ever spoken to, not just in this company, but in any company. Spoke over me, was insulting and then hung up the phone when I asked for a manager. There's an old saying, "customer is king" which has obviously escaped her. "Customer is dirt" more like it. Hence I am now planning a change of supplier. Most staff are helpful but unfortunately you are kept hanging on for a ridiculously long time having to listen to an extremely annoying tune.

Had call from SHE about boiler maintenance but did not receive welcome pack & did not proceed with contract as engineer said two radiators would not be covered. I have now to pay £60 for engineers visit. No leeway when I phoned to say I did not of fee & they could'nt care less that I did not receive pack as they sent it but don't seem to bother that it was not delivered. My extra pension of £60 has to go direct to them as payment demanded in 14days.

I began receiving letters saying I owed money of amounts up to £1,300 which I knew wasn't right as we live in a small two bed flat. I called and a hydro engineer was sent out. I was told that my meter was wired up completely wrong (everything was going on the expensive meter) so my landlord hired an electrician to correct the problem. I was told by Hydro that it was ok to have a private electrician to do the work and that when the problem was corrected my bills would be recalculated and I wouldn't have to pay the large bills back. HOWEVER, after receiving yet another large bill last week, I spent an hour on the phone to a manager, who told me we still have to pay back almost £1000 for electricity we didn't use! The case is going to citizens advice.
