This depends on what you choose to invest in. It goes to the fund managers and other parties involved in managing the investment.

It’s shown as a yearly percentage and is taken from the investment – the returns you see are after the charge.

Whichever platform you choose, a fund charge is always included.

You won’t see separate charges coming out of your bank account.

How do the fees stack up?

Fees are a normal part of investing, but even small ones can chip away at your returns – so it helps to check what you pay, how the fees compare, and that the fee type suits how you invest.

Higher fees don’t always mean better results.

Frequently asked questions

Got questions? Check out our FAQ section for quick answers about Investments by MoneySuperMarket fees.

Why do fees matter?

Fees are a normal part of investing, but they can affect how much of your money stays invested over time.

Even small differences in charges can add up over many years. That’s why many savvy investors pay close attention to the costs of both the investments they choose and the platform they use.

That’s why we’re committed to keeping our prices low, so more of your money stays invested and working for you.

Are there any withdrawal fees?

No. We don’t charge any withdrawal or exit fees.

You can take your money out at any time. It usually takes 3–5 business days for your investments to be sold.

Remember, investing works best over the long term. If you think you’ll need quick or regular access to your cash, saving might be a better option. Investing is usually better suited to money you won’t need straight away.

And remember, the value of your investments can fall as well as rise, so you may get back less than you put in.

When will I see the fund charge?

When picking what to invest in, you’ll see a clear breakdown showing the:

  • Fund charge

  • Platform fee

  • Projected total charges over a five-year period – and the value your investments could reach after fees. Remember, this isn’t guaranteed
