On the 10th July, Sky announced a relaunch of their Sky Sports channels. From 18th July, Sky will be changing the structure of their packages by providing the ‘best live sport’, including ‘dedicated channels for the Premier League, Football, Cricket, Golf and F1’ (skysports.com/relaunch). Brand new shows and documentaries, including a new ‘Main Event’ channel, will also be launching and will be available for new customers who have access to all Sky Sports channels.

What to look out for

  • Dedicated channels for sports ranging from Premier League to F1, as well as the best live sport across ten channels
  • Enjoy the best international Rugby Union, Rugby League, boxing, darts, NFL, tennis and more on the new Sky Sports Action and Arena channels 
  • Get more of the sport you love with improved personalisation on the new-look Sky Sports app, available from August 
  • Award-winning commentary and analysis, plus brand new shows and documentaries 
  • Watch Premier League, F1 and England Test Cricket in Ultra HD with Sky Q 

Customers will not need to make any manual changes to their current Sky Sports service, as this change will occur automatically. The new channel structure will consist of the following packages, and will be in place to ensure that all Sky customer pay for the sports that they want to watch:

  • Premier League pack
    • 126 Premier League games
    • A new weeknight debate show
    • Live features on the Sky Sports app, incluyding a brand new timeline feature from August
  • Football pack
    • Live football every week
    • Reviews and dedicated round up shows
    • Live action wherever you are, with the new Sky Sports app
  • Cricket pack
    • All England home Tests, ODIs and T20 matches
    • Watch Cricket matches from around the world, including all ICC competitions and domestic matches
    • New documentaries
    • New Cricket pundits, with Andrew Flintoff joing Sky Sports
  • Golf pack
    • Live coverage of the Majors, European and PGA tours
    • Sky Sports exclusive action and live coverage
    • Exclusive interviews with players and caddies every week
    • Golf Masterclasses with helpful tips and advice from expert coaches, including Butch Harmon
  • F1 pack
    • Exclusive access to every F1 practice, qualifying and race live
    • Every race is provided in HD with Sky Q
  • Action and Arena pack
    • Customers will be provided with all the action from International and European sports, including Rugby League, NFL and Boxing to name a few
    • Never miss a moment with the Sky Sports app, which will allow customers to watch live sports wherever you are
