Availability and price

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 first went on sale in 2019 with a launch price of £869.

However, it’s become somewhat less popular since the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 in August 2020. So if you shop around for the best price on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 now (November 2020), you can pick one up for closer to £500.

Design

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 sports a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with curved sides that slope over the horizontal edges of the device. The discreet, ‘punch hole’ cut out for the front-facing camera is located at the top and in the centre of the Infinity-O screen.

At just 168g, the Note 10 is one of the lighter ‘phablets’ on the market. Measuring 72mm x 151mm with a thickness of 7.9mm, it’s also smaller than most similar-spec handsets. However, some people bemoan the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack on this model.

The Galaxy Note 10 is available in:

  • Aura Glow (blue and white)
  • Aura Black

Camera

The Galaxy Note 10’s rear camera is set into a small bump on the back of the device and comes with three lenses: a regular 12MP lens, a 12MP optically zoomed telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide 16MP lens.

The front camera contains a single 10MP lens with dual autofocus capabilities, while the handset is capable of recording in HDR10+ and offers Digital Video Stabilisation and Live Focus Video features.

Specs

Technically speaking, the Galaxy Note 10 has now been surpassed by more recent Samsung releases, such as the Galaxy Note 20. However, it’s still a sophisticated bit of kit.

Highlights include the invisible ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the front of the phone and the Wireless PowerShare feature, with which you can charge compatible devices such as headphones, smart watches, and other phones using your Note 10. The water-resistant device also comes with a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen, an Exynos 9825 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. And battery-wise it packs 3,500mAh – enough to keep you going all day.
