Everything we know about the Huawei P30
Telecommunications and electronics giant Huawei may have had a rocky few weeks after being hit with various controversies, but they still have a track record of producing industry leading smartphones. And they intend to release their first 5G phones this year.
The new 5G network is expected to achieve speeds so high, that you will be able to download a feature length film in a matter of seconds.
But what else can we expect from Huawei’s next model, expected to be called the P30?
When will the Huawei P30 be released?
Originally expected to be announced at the end of February as part of the Mobile World Congress, but it’s now looking likely that the Huawei P30 will be unveiled at the end of March 2019.
After it is announced, we expect to see it hit the shelves in April 2019.
How much will the Huawei P30 cost?
Going by indications from their last few models, the Huawei P30 standard model is expected to retail at around £599.
What will the design for the Huawei P30 be like?
While the rumours are swirling, there are some reliable sources out there that have suggested certain design features that the P30 will include.
One notable suggestion is that there will be no visible fingerprint scanner, meaning it will be built into the screen.
Phone cover releases from Spigen also suggest that the P30 will sport a waterdrop-style notch and very thin bezels.
What features will the Huawei P30 have?
Various leaks have suggested that while the Huawei P30 Pro is thought to have four cameras on the back of the phone, the Huawei P30 is expected to have three. The camera on the back are thought to have a 5X optical zoom, and a Sony 38MP or 40MP sensor.
The front-facing camera is expected to be 24MP.
One of the more surprising rumours suggests that the P30 will see the return of the 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that was previously removed on the P20 and various other smartphones on the market. Perhaps the industry has realised the masses weren’t quite ready to move to wireless just yet?
What do we know about Huawei P30 technical specifications?
The phone is expected to have a display of about 6.1 inches and it’s meant to pack a punch in the power department – with between 6GB and 12GB of RAM. It’s unclear on whether this will solely be in the Pro model or if it will appear in the standard model as well.
The P30 is likely to include a HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC processor.
