Energy Monitor is an easy way to take control of your bills, and make sure you never miss out on savings.

Just pop in some information about your energy usage, and tell us how much you’d like to save on your energy bills. Then, we’ll keep a close eye on the energy market, and when we spot a deal that could save you the amount you’ve specified, we’ll email you to let you know. You can then decide whether to switch.

We’ll also let you know when you’re on the best deal already, and there aren’t any tariffs out there that could cut your bills by the amount you’ve chosen. That way, you can relax, knowing you’re not paying over the odds.

All you need to do is run an energy comparison - just pop in some details about your home and the amount of energy you use. Then, when you see your quotes, there’ll be an option to sign up for email alerts. This will let you choose how much money you’d like to save on your bills. And that’s it – you’re all set up.

We scour the energy market every month to search for savings for you.

When you run an energy comparison, we use the information you give us to continue comparing prices for you every month. Specifically, we use your supplier, tariff data, address, and data about your energy usage to keep comparing deals every month. We also use your email address to let you know when you could save by switching, and when you’re already on the best deal.

You can opt out of Energy Monitor any time. You can either select ‘stop monitoring’ in the app, or you can click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails you receive about Energy Monitor.

We’ll contact you by email. When you run a quote and sign up to Energy Monitor, we’ll email you a summary of your top quotes.

Then, we’ll keep an eye on energy prices, and when we find a tariff that could save you at least the amount you’ve specified, we’ll send you an email to tell you about it.

We’ll also email you if you’re already on the best deal, so you have the peace of mind of knowing you’re not overpaying.

We work out your current energy usage based on what you tell us about your annual kWh usage, and then we use the unit costs associated with your current tariff to work out how much you’re likely to paying at the moment.

Next, we calculate how much you’d be likely to pay on other tariffs by multiplying your annual kWh usage by the unit costs on those tariffs. Then we take into account any additional savings offered by those suppliers.

We work out the estimated annual savings figure by subtracting the cost of the other tariffs with alternative suppliers from your current costs.

Comparison calculations are never spot on, especially if you've estimated your usage, but it's the best way to find your cheapest tariff.
