Many people won’t think about what their car needs before they make a journey. However, at this time of year we all need to make sure that we’ve checked certain things before we embark. These are often simple checks like, do you have enough fuel? Do you have de-icer in the car? Do your tyres have at least 3mm of tread on them? These may be simple checks, but they could save you a lot of hassle. As much as we can prepare, you also need to be aware of the best ways to drive on slippery roads. Obviously, driving slowly is vital but you should also be very wary of braking too suddenly and the gears that you’re using.
