I have a small astra van which i use as a run around and its in no way used for business purposes and i had this van insured with this company for 2 years and not made any claims whatsoever. 2 months ago it was renewal time and it duly dropped through the letter box. TO MY HORROR MY VANS INSURANCE HAD GONE UP 64% i made a call and the excuse was basically "live with it as everyones gone up and we have tried to find the best policy for you" . I rang the the insurance company the were suggesting direct and got it 535 pound cheaper. so i rang Autonet back and explained and got the phone slammed down on me!!!

in 20 years of driving this is the first time I've had problems trying to arrange insurance. I filled in the online forms, made my payment, and nothing. the promised email notification still hasnt arrived. I rang, they took my number promising to ring me back. 2 hours later i ring again asking for my money back. They refused to accept email notification was not sent. Had no knowledge of my earlier pbone call and was told if I cancelled I would be charged £50. I've had 2 days with no car and a lot of frustration. And not even an apologise. I will be warning everyone not to go near them.

Dreadful pressure sales techniques and poor value

We have a company van policy with Autonet. I called to get a company car policy thinking they would provide a good quote to keep us as a growing business. How wrong I was. After being quoted £1100 "on the nose" as the salesman said, I baulked at the price. After beign told how expensive the car was (I already new) and some other baloney, he told me he could give me £950 "on the nose" only if I purchased then and there. I hadn't realised I was buying double glazing and declined.
I registered with an online service and recieved another quote for £750. Interestingly Autonet also called me again, thinking it was a fresh customer adn quoted me £725. When I called back to discuss, they realised their error and tried to backtrack saying an advisor had been inexperienced. Dreadful.

What a mess this company seems!!

I filled in all the online quote form to see how much Autonet could save me and ended up having to phone in for help!!

After talking for ages about my van etc i was told i had to speak to another office! I was put through and had to explain everything again to which i was told they were the wrong department!!
After getting cut off and ringing back was put through to a different phone number to be told they could not help with the insurance i was after!!

Just an upfront answer would save alot of wasted time!! Now i keep getting phone calls from them about the insurance i want!!!!! AAAArghhhhhh!!
