  • A change of supplier will be considered completed only once we have received confirmation of the change from your new supplier.
  • Payment will be made by BACS to the same account details as entered in the payment details section of the application form, unless you have opted to pay by quarterly cash or cheque then a cheque will be issued to the name and address provided during the application process.
  • Cheque payment details cannot be amended.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will payment be made?

Payment will usually be made within 2-3 months (certain cases may take up to 6-months) after you complete your change. This allows sufficient time for the transfer to complete and the supplier to notify us this has happened.

How much will I be paid?

If you decide to change just your electricity or gas supplier then you will receive a payment of £17.50. If you decide to change to a new dual fuel supplier you will receive a payment of £30.

Will I receive two payments if I change both Gas and Electricity?

No. Only one payment will be made per household whether you change your gas, electricity or your gas and electricity supplier together.

How will payments be made?

Payments will usually be made by BACS transfer to the account details you provided during the application process. If you have opted to pay your gas and or electricity bill by cash or cheque then we will issue a cheque made payable to the name and sent to the address provided by you during the application process.

If I am due to receive a payment by cheque, can I change the payee?

No. Cheques will be issued to the name and address stated on the application form and cannot be altered.

Is the cashback offer available through other moneysupermarket.com services?

No. This cashback offer is only available through the Gas and Electricity service.

Will I only receive a payment if I change supplier on-line?

No. You will receive a payment whether you change your supplier on-line or via our dedicated helpline on 0845 345 1296.

Is the process impartial?
