Xbox 360: Top 3 Shooters of 2010

2010 was a huge year in the gaming industry. Just as it seemed that the Playstation 3 had full control over the majority of the gaming world and the Wii had sunk its claws deep into the world of motion sensor gaming, the Xbox 360 received a surge of energy. With the much anticipated release of Microsoft Kinect, the Xbox 360 was able to get its foot back in the door. Kinect takes the concept that the Wii so masterfully conquered and took it to the next level. Kinect impresses on so many levels. Whether you are enamoured by the 50 point motion tracker, the hands free controlling system or the voice recognition software – Kinect does it all. Apart from Kinect, these three Xbox 360 releases get a nod of approval as well:

1.    Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox 360. Simply the most popular first person shooter on the market. With the best online multiplayer game mode of any game on the market, Call of Duty tops the carts once again. This easily makes its way onto my favourites list.

2.    Borderlands for Xbox 360. You might be wondering how 2 FPS games made the list. However, Borderlands is far from being a simple FPS. It combines the loot and character development system of a RPG with the fast action of a FPS to make for a unique storyline style. Play with up to four players in a co-op contest or battle through a single player campaign. With the cartoonish graphics, killer commentary and gruesome gameplay this game will keep you tuned in for a while.

3.    Red Dead Redemption for Xbox 360. Following up a great shooter with a solid storyline, here is Red Dead Redemption. Imagine John Wayne crossed with Grand Theft Auto and if you will, throw in a taste of the PC classic: Oregon Trail. This game takes the thrilling life of a misfit on the countryside and combines it with a unique storyline along with a unique loot and barter system. Complete hundreds of missions or cause mischief in town, whichever tickles your fancy, you have the freedom to choose between good and evil

About Ranjit

I grew up playing America Football, Football and Track & Field. American Football and Track have always been my greatest passions and I always aspired to play at the collegiate level. Due to a high grade sarcoma in my right leg, I recently decided to amputate my leg and get back to the active lifestyle that I used to live. After making this choice, I have not looked back as it has opened doors to a number of new opportunities and even some of my old passions.
