Being at university leaves you with excessive free time with which you have no idea what to do. Some university students spend time studying and reviewing their lecture notes. The wise ones spend their days playing intense Mario Kart competitions on their N-64s, or their lesser Wii consoles. When walking the halls of a boy’s dormitory, you would safe to assume that the screaming and shouting that comes from behind the closed doors has to do with this epic pastime. This game is not taken lightly by any means; it is in fact practiced as a religion. Many friendships are built and destroyed in this game. It is the ultimate test of your character and whether or not you are fit to be a part of the group.
Apart from redeveloping a strong addiction to Mario Kart, it is common for the university student to overindulge in Super Smash Bros as well. To a large majority, the priority when at the university starts with Super Smash Bros and trickles down to their coursework. Having been there myself, I have often found myself wondering if my history course is worth attending when I am so deep into a game of “Smash.” Smash is not one of those things that you can just walk away from in the middle of it. Once you commit to the lifestyle, there is no turning back. They say that nicotine is addictive, but that is only because they have yet to experience the rush of a game of Smash.
