Portable Gaming: PSP vs DS

Portable electronics are taking the world by storm. The emergence of laptops, portable DVD players and MP3 players have caused a major shift toward mobile accessories. Since we live in a copycat world, it was only a matter of time before everything began going mobile. Next up is the video gaming world. No longer are people limited to watching and playing from their couch, but now you can play even when you are on the move. It makes it particularly nice on those long drives when the kids are bickering in the back, but otherwise it seems like they can never get the systems out of their hands. With the development of the PSP 3000 and the Nintendo DS, Sony and Nintendo have become the leaders in mobile gaming.

The PSP 3000 features magnificent graphics for a portable gaming device. It was a wide variety of games and a great interface, making it perfect for when you are on the go. On a full charge, the battery will last you for hours, allowing for you to leave all the extra gadgets and chargers back at the house.  Along with an expansive game library, it also has a Wi-Fi connection and comes equipped with Skype and other internet functions. Basically an upgraded version of your iPhone, this is a great travel companion.

The Nintendo DS does not share the same level of excellence in terms of graphics, but it is outstanding in its own right. With a wider variety of games, including all of the Nintendo classics, it is perfect. The Nintendo DS games are among the best on the market and are fun for everybody in the family: mom, dad and kids. Play your favourite Mario Kart races or involve everybody with the Mario Party series. This little system is family friendly and has a wide variety of games that everybody can enjoy.

About Ranjit

I grew up playing America Football, Football and Track & Field. American Football and Track have always been my greatest passions and I always aspired to play at the collegiate level. Due to a high grade sarcoma in my right leg, I recently decided to amputate my leg and get back to the active lifestyle that I used to live. After making this choice, I have not looked back as it has opened doors to a number of new opportunities and even some of my old passions.
