Finally you can relive your favourite action packed summer blockbusters on blu ray and DVD, or if you did not make it to the cinema, now is your chance to get a first glimpse of what you missed. With snow on the ground, it is time to play catch up. Certainly you have heard all of the rant and rave about Inception and its mind boggling storyline, but experiencing Inception on blu ray is a whole new experience. If you are going to see three exciting action films, these should be the ones:
1. Inception. The mind blowing plot and deeper meaning caused a raucous this summer. Critics went so far as calling it one of the best films of all time. Follow Di Caprio as he maneuvers his way through a labyrinth of dreams and battles through the influence of his past on his subconscious. The directors of the matrix accompany Di Caprio on his mission, making for a great deal of excitement in terms of animation and effects.
2. A-Team. Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper star in this action-comedy. Based off of the original series, you will find plenty of hysterical dialogue and some high intensity action bits as well. This is one of those films that know what it is; it does not have the try hard feeling that most films like this usually have. For a great laugh and a fast paced action, you have found your match.
3. The Expendables. Again, on the same line as the A-Team, this action packed film knows what it is. With a star studded cast that consists of “badasses” that perform immaculate stunts accompanied by over the top effects and gut-wrenching one-liners, you cannot help to enjoy how this film satirizes the common clichés of action films. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Jet Li fit the bill perfectly while an array of wrestlers round out the cast, which only enhances the concept behind the film in my mind.
