Christmas time is coming and I hate getting gifts for my girlfriend. She’s the type that won’t tell me what she wants, and I don’t know the first thing about women’s fashion or style. Do women still wear leg warmers? See, I don’t know. So you can imagine my dread. Electronics or media, I’m probably a gifting guru; I’ve got a white beard on and I’m father of all Christmas. Looking for a good HD LCD? The LG 32LD320 is a great little TV for any medium sized room. It’s easy to setup and use, has LG’s typical built-in Freeview, and 2 HDMI inputs for gaming and Blu-ray hookup. There, easy.
If only I could do that with handbags or pumps. If you’re like me, you should go with what you know. It might not be as impressive as jewellery, but a good idea (which will go well with that HD LCD) is to buy her a new film. Try to find one that has special nostalgic significance, or a recent release that she loved and made you watch with her. There are two upcoming releases that may be perfect for your needs.
The sequel to the first 2008 hit based off of Sarah Jessica Parker’s show, this film takes place two years after the first film. I refused to watch this, so I’m sorry I can’t fully weigh in on the film, but if your girlfriend loves Sex and the City this should be a great one to add to her collection.
Stephanie Meyer’s emo vampire fantasy romance bestseller comes to film, starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The Twilight saga will definitely score you some points, and who knows, you may grow to like it as well (just don’t tell the mates).
