Waking up early enough to give you time for a full wet shave is not always entirely possible. I sometimes struggle to give myself enough time to shave before going to work and that is why I invested in an electric razor. Electric razors are great for when you are on the run and do not have the time for a complete shave. They are also especially nice in preventing you from cutting yourself. When I was diagnosed with cancer, there was a large risk of infection and any cut could have been dangerous. At this time I started using my electric razor on a daily basis and even now, three years into remission, I find myself continuing to use it on a regular basis. With the absence of blades, not only are you saving yourself from annoying nicks and cuts that do nothing more than stain your collars, but you will also find that you will save quite a bit of money.
There are a number of quality beard trimmers on the market. When I think of a quality trimmer, I would look to a Braun, Remington or Philips. All three of these brands have a wide variety of beard trimmers. While you may be a bit disappointed with their lower end models, they do get the job done. You may have to double back to get a finer shave, but the only way to avoid this is to break the bank and invest in a quality razor. A quality razor may cost you a bit more, but the durability on these things is amazing. Braun is a German manufacturer and much like their cars, their razors last for a lifetime.
To top off your shaving kit and have your skin feeling silky smooth, look for a bottle of aftershave. Granted, you will not be using it after a shave with your electric razor, but it does not hurt to apply it here and there. For the occasional wet shave you will want to apply some aftershave to revitalize your skin to make it soft and smooth. Do not waste time trying to spend more money on a good smelling aftershave; rather, opt for an odourless cheap aftershave for men and let cologne do its job.
