My laptop that I purchased four years ago is starting to give out and I am back on the market. While Dell and Apple laptops dominate the market, I am hoping to explore a number of other options as well, including: Toshiba, Acer and HP. While I used to spend a lot of time gaming and playing with graphics, I am no longer that deep into PC games. My previous laptops were all geared up for gaming and came equipped with powerful processors, 4 GB of RAM and a top of the line graphics card. Now that I will not be doing any intense gaming, a simple laptop with the basic functions is all I need.
If you are going to purchase a laptop for the basic functions, there is absolutely no need to consider apple laptops. Instead, look for good dell laptop deals or any of the alternate producers that I mentioned before: Toshiba, Acer and HP. All of these companies make quality laptops that are more than capable of running word processing files, internet and music.
Something like the Dell Mini series is a great starting point. Unless you need an internal disk drive and a large screen, they are perfectly functional and portable. With a 10.1” screen and weighing about 2 kg, they are a great laptop for when you are on the go. One step up, you have a number of 14” and 15.6” screens that are ideal if you enjoy watching films on your device. You would be wise to go with one of these cheaper options, rather than overspending on a top-tier Dell or Apple Macbook.
