This idea that the ideal television needs to be humongous is a relic we hear echoing in our brains from a pre-LCD TV screen era. With LCDs your pictures are a lot clearer and the glare is reduced so you can enjoy the programs you love with a smaller screen size. Of course you won’t be using a puny 19 inch to entertain your guests with, but the 32 inch is an adequate size to go with for the typical UK flat.
At this size level there is a multitude of options to go with depending on your budget and what your preferences are. Here are a few suggestions to get your search started.
The Toshiba 32BV700B
Most people typically go with Panasonic or Sony, but Toshiba puts out some pretty high quality television alternatives. This model Toshiba is easy to set up and you can find one easily under £300. Blu-ray and video games look great on this TV being full HD and the only really big downsides were the sound quality (could have had more bass) and the akward off button being in the back of the set.
The Samsung LE32C530
32 inch full HD and has USB ports similar to the Toshiba, this Samsung television also has 3 HDMI connections and is under £300 as well. It’s a stylish looking set and has slightly better sound quality than the Toshiba. Great value for the cost.
The Samsung UE32C5800
With Full HD, 4 HDMI ports with USB, built in Freeview and a great looking slim set build, the Samsung UE32C5800 is an optimal entry-level LED (yes LED). If you buy into the LED buzz the price tag for this TV will make you very happy. You can probably find one for around £500 making it the 32 inch of choice if you have a little extra money to spend.
