The Sony Ericsson Naite (pronounced “nighty”) targets the seriously "green" user. It is a monoblock 3G phone that is an outcome of the company’s Green Heart alliance - committed to reducing packaging, using recycled plastics, water-based paints which lower the exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds and an in-phone manual instead of paper manuals. The device itself has a 2.2-inch display, a 2 megapixel camera and links to the internet via 3.5G HSDPA.

Weighing just 84 grams, the Naite has a casing is made from a minimum of 50% recycled plastic and includes an optimized display light sensor that uses less energy. A quad-band phone, it has international roaming potential, too. Web surfing, multimedia messaging and email are all readily available and there is a special Play Now Arena, for downloading music tracks from the Web directly to your phone or as DRM-free MP3 files to your PC.
