Compare K850i blue Deals

The Sony Ericsson K850i with velvet blue highlights is an oldie but goldie dating from October 2007, which built on the tremendous success of the K8XXi range, taking the camera phone to the 5 megapixel level, with CyberShot optics, Xenon flash, autofocus and an automatic lens cover. The camera  also has a BestPic feature that can automatically take nine photos in a second and a picture stabiliser that helps reduce camera shake. There is also a front-facing camera for 3G calling.

It was also the first of the CyberShot cameras to support 3.5G (HSDPA) giving broadband-style speed for internet browsing, downloading and messaging. , which enables you to access the web and download files at broadband speeds where available.

With a full range of utiltities and messaging options, the K850i could rival the Nokia N95 or LG Viewty, for example, but with a few design quirks – such as the potentially tricky keypad – to consider.

The 40 Mbytes’ internal memory - not large by today’s standards – can be augmented by a microSD or Memory Stick Micro memory card up to 4GB - useful if you've got a leftover microSD card from an old phone.

Battery life is rated at nine hours’ talk time or 400 hours on standby (GSM); 3.5 hours’ talk time/350 hours standby (3G). From a full charge, it lasts for around two days with moderate use and one day with significant browsing via HSDPA and camera use.

5 Megapixel

Camera Phones are slowly replacing the tranditional Digital Camera. Grainy low-quality images from phones are a thing of the past. Its now easier than ever to take good quality photos and make a telephone call from a single device.

Most of the latest mobiles come packed with features to ensure you get the best possible picture including Zenon flash allowing photos to be taken in a low light such as Nightclubs or Pubs. However because of the size of mobile phones they are never going to be able to squash all the technology that is available in a traditional Digital Camera. For the occasional picture they are the ideal solution.

Take a look through our selection of 5 Mega Pixel and 8 Mega Pixel camera phones which are all worth reviewing before making a choice! Selected contracts also come with incentives such as Cash Backs, Console Games, GPS and others.
