Compare I7500 Galaxy Deals

Taking its cue from the HTC Hero with its Sense interface and Motorola’s Motoblur social networking idea, Korean giant Samsung has also invested in the super-configurable Android operating system to produce the Galaxy i7500 – an all-singing, all-dancing smartphone.

With a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, accelerometer,  5-megapixel camera with autofocus, it links to the internet via 3G/HSDPA, backed up by Wi-Fi for hotspot, on the move connectivity and short-range wireless Bluetooth.

Slim at 11.9 mm, its 116g still feels light. No less than 8 Gbytes’ on-board memory grace the Galaxy, so there is no problem downloading applications such as Facebook and Twitter, if you’re a social networker, calling up widgets with the sweep of a thumb over the screen. It plays all manner of videos (though the controls are simply forward/back) and music files. Should you need more memory, it takes a microSD card up to 16 GB.

There is GPS navigation and video and a wealth of organiser utilities. There is no FM radio - and no DivX, which is a pity since AMOLED is a great technology for movies.Undeniably power-hungry, the Galaxy needs recharging every other day if you are making the most of its features.
