The diminutive Samsung S3650 Genio Touch, previously known as the Corby, in striking white is a compact, monoblock budget touchscreen device with a wide variety of communication options. As well as a built-in email client, it is ideal for accessing your favourite social network on the move (MySpace, Twitter, Facebook and the like). Internet connection is via GPRS/EDGE with a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser.
The Genio Touch’s is a compact, light phone: 103 x 56.5 x 12 mm, weighing 92g. The capacitive touchscreen is a 2.8-inch, 240 x 320 pixels resolution display – excellent for showing the results of the 2 megapixel camera (maximum resolution 1600 x 1200 pixels) with digital zoom and QVGA video recording at 15 fps.
The music player supports all the popular file formats and a stereo FM radio with RDS. The device has interchangeable rear covers or fashion jackets – it comes with two extra panels – so that you can be colour coordinated with your outfits or accessories. There are ample utilities, including a 1,000 name capacity phone book, various methods of ID for each contact, alarm, calculator, world clock and speakerphone.
It has 90 Mbytes’ internal memory and supports microSD cards up to an additional 8GB. Battery life is rated at an excellent nine hours’ talk time and 730 hours on standby from a full charge.
