Compare N810 Deals

Although the N810 has been around since late 2007, it still cuts the mustard as a portable internet communications device. It is not a mobile phone, but an “Internet Tablet” - the successor to the successful N800, with a faster processor, larger storage capacity and an actual (no just on-screen) slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The centrepiece is the big 4.13-inch WVGA display (800 x 480 pixels) that locks on to any Wi-fi hotspot, enabling you to do everything you would on a PC/laptop, from checking emails and messaging to updating blogs and visiting Web sites. It has Skype and Gizmo video chat – and a VGA camera. There is an integrated GPS receiver with pre-loaded maps and the potential for an upgrade to in-car or on foot voice navigation.

The N810 has a webcam with an ambient light sensor, which the software uses to automatically adjust screen brightness and keyboard backlighting. The on-board software includes a .pdf readers, image viewer and sketch pad.
For entertainment, the N810 provides a media player – audio, video and internet radio playback - with up to 2GB integral storage (much of it used by maps for the GPS) and a miniSD card for up to 10 GB additional space for songs and data. Its 128MB of DDR RAM and 256MB of flash memory are identical to the N800.

As a comfortable mobile computing and internet device, the N810 still stands up with the best.
