Compare 6710 Navigator Deals
What strikes the eye first about the Nokia 6710 Navigator is the 2.6-inch QVGA resolution screen with excellent light sensitivity. You can zoom in and out via a touch-sensitive area beneath, whatever the application from Web surfing to picture browsing.
The 6710 is the third device in Nokia's Navigator series and comes with a subscription to Nokia Maps’ Drive & Walk and Traffic Info. A quad-band slider with dual-band HSDPA for broadband speed internet, the 6710 is a top flight PDA that is sturdy and comfortably chunky to hold. Downloading and Web surfing is speedy, with the Nokia Web Browser 7.1 as the user interface, and wireless options are Wi-fi and Bluetooth.
Its main feature, though, is sat-nav – a replacement for an in-car system – including a suction cradle for the car windscreen and in-car charging lead. There is a 5 megapixel camera delivering shots up to 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution, augmented by dual LED flash and a Carl Zeiss lens.
It comes with an excellent music player, FM radio and standard 3.5 mm jack for your own choice of headset and a veritable host of utilities from speakerphone to 1,000-contact capacity phonebook.
A 4GB card pre-loaded with regional maps augments the 50 Mbytes’ internal memory. The slot has capacity for up to 8GB. Battery life is rated at seven hours’ talk time and expect to charge up every couple of days with busy use.
