Compare 6700 Classic illuvial Deals
The Nokia 6700 Classic “illuvial” (black with a subtle deep pink keypad and floral pattern on the rear) is a sleek, solid bar metallic phone that ticks most of the boxes for the eclectic user – lots of phone calls, but needing a range of other functions, too. At 109.8 x 45 x 11.2mm, it feels comfy in the hand with a satisfying heft (113g). The 2.2-inch screen has good definition (320 x 240 pixels resolution) for displaying the results of the 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, which also doubles as a video camera.
The 6700 connects to the Web quickly and easily over the 3G HSDPA technology – it has both the WebKit open source browser, as used on Nokia’s high-end phones such as the E90 and N95, and the Opera Mini Web browse, which is elegantly optimised for mobile browsing on a small screen. Messaging options are SMS, MMS and email.
Although it offers Bluetooth short-range wireless connectivity, the 6700 does not have Wi-fi. There is GPS navigation with Nokia Maps, too, an FM radio, voice recorder, alarm clock, calendar, To do list, notes maker, calculator, countdown timer, stopwatch and links to FaceBook, MySpace and YouTube.
There is 170 Mbytes’ internal memory and a microSD card slot for additional storage. Battery life is rated at four hours’ talk time and 350 hours on standby from a full charge.
