The Nokia 6220 Classic in dramatic black - measuring 107 x 45 x 18 mm and weighing in at just 92 g - features all the well-known Nokia style pointers. It is a business class phone that also includes entertainment features such as an integrated digital camera (albeit snapshot quality only), video recorder and FM radio. The large 12-bit screen can show up to 4,096 colours at a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels, plus a conventionally-styled keypad, ensuring the phone is usable as well as smart-looking.
It is a tri-band phone, so it will support roaming to most parts of Europe. It supports HSCSD and EDGE for fast Web browsing, the 6620 is well equipped for connectivity, using an XHTML browser, email client and support for SMS, MMS and email for messaging. The 6620 was also the first Nokia Series 40 phone capable of recording short, 20-second video clips via its digital camera.
Bundled features include world clock, currency converter and two games: Water Rapids and Backgammon. It supports infrared, but not Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Other features include infrared connectivity, a 300-name phone book and calendar. Battery life is rated at up to five hours' talk time and up to 300 hours on standby from a full charge.
